Dear Mr. Projectionist:

You are now entering the Cinemiracle projection room prior to the regular performance. Each projectionist must check over the complete projector he is to operate before threading for the first act of Cinemiracle. Also clean and oil the projector mechanism and other working parts, also clean the projector lamp mirrors, lamp elements and the lamphouse interior. Make sure you have inspected your film.

We are now presuming that each projectionist has cleaned each projector lens and the projector port glasses. The prologue projector has had the regular routine cleaning and inspection, also the sound reproducer. We are now ready for a routine test run to insure positive operation:

1. Check torque motors, Cinemiracle projector drive motors.
2. " Selsyn interlock.
3. " Are intermittents on their frame line mark.
4. " Operation of changeover dowsers.
5. " " " prologue projector.
6. " Power amplifiers.
7. " "B" projector sound reproducer.
8. " Prologue projector sound reproducer.
9. " Reproduction output.
10. Place line-up target film loops in each Cinemiracle projector and check line-up.
11. The opening Cinemiracle scene is a close-up of the Christian Radich. If you have not been supplied with film loops, thread the first act into the Cinemiracle projectors and in synchronization run the opening scene and blend the match lines in preparation for the regular performance.

12. Thread prologue projector.
13. Set three Cinemiracle projectors in phase for threading.
14. Thread film in three Cinemiracle projectors with "start" mark at aperture.
15. On instructions from manager start the overture.
16. During the overture dim the house lighting half way, also the curtain floods. Note: Overture is on the same reel with the prologue.
17. After overture dim out house lights when prologue title appears.
18. Get prepared for Cinemiracle projection. At the finish of the prologue, 30 feet before the end, this is your cue to start the three Cinemiracle projectors.
19. Five feet prior to the end of the prologue, this is your cue to dowse the prologue and open all three Cinemiracle projector dowsers. Act one runs 50 minutes.
20. Walk out music at the end of act one runs three minutes.
21. Make preparations for act two, which runs 59 minutes. After threading the three Cinemiracle projectors, inspect everything carefully to avoid any mishap.
22. Upon instructions from your manager, get ready to start the second act. Bring down the house lights slowly, about half way, starting the Cinemiracle equipment at the same time. The overture ahead of the second act runs three minutes. At the end of the overture open your dowsers and you are off for the second act. Dim out your house lights.
23. At the end of act two close hand dowsers on "A" and "C" projectors. Credit titles are on end of "B" reel. At the end of credit titles dowse "B" projector. Walk out music runs three minutes.
24. Be sure to inspect your film after each performance, or before each performance.

R. H. McCullough
