Buenos Aires Bahia Blanca (P)
Gracias. Eduardo Cesar Gomez. Area Tecnica. Cinemateca INCAA. 10.10.2008
I’m from Buenos Aires, Argentina and I have found both DP70 in a cinema at Bahía Blanca (Buenos Aires). The numbers are EL4001 – 803 and 834. Both machines are in very good condition including the whole kit and the wood boxes where all the accessories are. In these boxes you can find the 70mm optic (lens?) and the capacitors for the enlargement of the wall lightning. As well as a manual rewind taper and aluminium empty reel. The magnetic head has also been saved. I hope this information is useful; I have taken some pictures of the equipment. Please let me know how to attach the pictures. Thank you. Eduardo Cesar Gomez.   Two DP70 (1604+1607) from Grand Palace in Santiago.

They belong to the cinema Gran Palace from Santiago, Chile, that they transform it into a multi cinema. Unfortunately these machines where out of service for several years in a depot with no maintenance and where they loose some parts.

Now I'm trying to restore them, in the way I can, despite here in Chile we can't get any parts or fabricate them. Specially that I live in Concepcion, a little city far from the capital.

In your excellent web site I have found plenty of useful information.

Two DP70. Cinema closed in 1989.

I was looking for the DP70's without good news. The person who cares for DP70 said to me they were in a warehouse of my company. I search it in that place but the company owners made a donation to a museum called "La venezuela de antier" (before yesterday Venezuela) in west Venezuela (Merida state). I've contact the museum's owner and he said that these projectors aren't in his museum. I don't know if it's true because his knowledge about projectors and its names is almost zero. I'm so sorry about what has happened with the projectors.

My PREVOIOS boss, Mr. Elvis Navas saw the projectors in the warehouse before move to the museum. We keep some magnetic readers from those DP70.

Regards, Germán Marín (September 2003)
