| Independence | Englewood Theatre |
| | Two DP70 (2061+2077). These are the single motor machines. I believe they were purchased new for the FORUM THEATRE in Columbia, Missouri. I bought and installed them with the 50' curved screen and track in the Englewood's 70" wide auditorium. Wade Williams

| Kansas City | Glenwood Theatre |
| | Two DP70 (2453+2455). Serial numbers on the bases were 6618 & 6620. "Oklahoma!" played at least 6 weeks in Kansas City from start of October 1956. Ashcraft Super Corelite arc lamps 6-track all transistor sound. The Glenwood Theatre is actually in Overland Park (KS). This is a suburb of Kansas City (MO), but across the Kansas and Missouri state line. The theatre is still there with one of the biggest screens in the area. (It actually has four screens today, but it has just one really large screen theatre.) Removed in May 1999 and sold as a pair to run dual projector at the Heights Theatre in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Another Glenwood in Kansas City (MO) was opened in 1967 (With DP75s). That Glenwood was officially closed April 30, 2000. |
