Boot, Das Spherical (1.85:1) Sept 17 (West Germany) 6-Track Dolby Stereo Bavaria/Columbia AKA: “The Boat.”  US release (at 145 minutes): Feb 10, 1982. US 70mm release unconfirmed. Title is listed in the book “Wide Screen Movies.”  Originally shown on German television as a 211 minute mini-series. Re-issued theatrically (in 35mm & 8-channel SDDS) at 211 minutes in 1997.
Chariots Of Fire Spherical (1.66:1) Sept 17 (Canada) 6-Track Dolby Stereo Ladd US release: Sept 25. US 70mm release unconfirmed. Title is listed in the book ‘Wide Screen Movies.’
Dance Craze Spherical (Super 1.66:1) Feb 19 (UK) 6-Track Dolby Stereo NA This was a feature-length experiment to evaluate full aperture (Super 35)-to-70mm image quality. Shown in 70mm in NY one screening only in 1982. US 70mm release unconfirmed. Title is listed in the book ‘Wide Screen Movies.’
Dragonslayer Panavision June 26 (USA) 6-Track Dolby Stereo (SS) Paramount Also released in the experimental 35mm VistaSonic discrete optical format.
Empire Strikes Back, The (Re-Issue) Panavision July 31 (USA) 6-Track Dolby Stereo 20th Century Fox Advertised as “One of the best things that ever happened is about to happen again”...and that’s no lie!
For Your Eyes Only Panavision June 26 (USA) 6-Track Dolby Stereo United Artists US 70mm release unconfirmed.  Title is listed on the Internet Movie Database (IMDb).
Heaven’s Gate (Re-Issue) Panavision April 24 (USA) 6-Track Dolby Stereo United Artists OAR blow-up. This was the shortened 149-min version.
Lion Of The Desert Panavision April 17 (USA) 6-Track Dolby Stereo UFD US 70mm release unconfirmed. According to Cinerama, Inc., a 70mm print ran (unadvertised) at the Cinerama Dome in LA.

Raiders Of The Lost Ark Panavision June 12 (USA) 6-Track Dolby Stereo Paramount 70mm re-issues in ‘82 & ‘83. Re-titled “Indiana Jones And The Raiders Of The Lost Ark” for recent video release.  Paramount and Lucasfilm: Why aren’t you re-issuing this for its 20th anniversary???   : (

Star Wars (Re-Issue) Panavision April 10 (USA) 6-Track Dolby Stereo 20th Century Fox The subtitle “Episode IV: A New Hope” first appeared on prints during this two-week re-issue. Advertised as: “It’s back! The Force will be with you for two weeks only” (even though we all know the Force will be with you...always.)
Superman II Panavision June 19 (USA) 6-Track Dolby Stereo (SS/MegaSound) Warner Bros. Originally released in other regions in 1980. 70mm prints prior to US release unconfirmed.
Tess Panavision April 9 (UK) 6-Track Dolby Stereo Columbia US release: Dec 12, 1980. US 70mm release unconfirmed. 
Released in 70mm in England and France (and other parts of Europe) in ‘79 or ‘80.
Wolfen Panavision July 24 (USA) 6-Track Dolby Stereo (MegaSound) Orion This was the last of the four titles mixed and released in MegaSound.
Zoot Suit Spherical (1.85:1) Oct 2 (USA) 6-Track Stereo (Sensurround Plus) Universal World Premiere: Oct 1 (Los Angeles).
