Lost World, The: Jurassic Park Spherical (1.85:1) Sept 12 (Norway) DTS Universal OAR blow-up. 70mm print screened at the Spektrum in Oslo, Norway. US 35mm release: May 25.
Star Wars (Re-Issue) Panavision Mar 21 (Norway) DTS 20th Century Fox 70mm print of the 125-min Special Edition screened for three days at the Spektrum in Oslo, Norway. US 35mm re-release on Jan 31.
Titanic Super 35 Dec 19 (USA) DTS Paramount/Fox Director James Cameron reportedly paid for the 70mm prints (about a dozen) to be made for this release (thank you, Mr. Cameron). A Royal Film Performance was held in London on Nov 18. 70mm-DTS trailers: “Deep Impact,” “Hard Rain,” “The Odd Couple II” & “The Truman Show.” This was the last first-run 70mm release in the US.  : (
Tomorrow Never Dies Panavision Dec 19 (Norway) DTS United Artists 70mm print screened at the Spektrum in Oslo, Norway. US 35mm release: 19 Dec. Print screened at 70mm fest in LA in Fall ‘99.
