I have been obsessed with the World's Fair Cinerama facility in Seattle recently, and took some interior photos last night (03.12.2010). It was very dark, so two of the shots are a bit blurry. I have now made contact with somebody who actually knows about the history of the building, and hope to meet with him to chat in some detail over the next few weeks. | More in 70mm reading:

By the way, you will notice some off-colored screen panels. Those are original speaker positions for the Cinerama presentations.
The facility has been used for laser rock shows since the 1970s. In 1982, the 20th anniversary of the fair, I saw "It happened at the World's Fair" projected onto the dome, but had no idea about the Cinerama connection that the building had, and didn't pay any attention to the projection system, regrettably. | |
