Last weekend I was on a short and great visit to China watching the work in progress of three Danish animation films in 3D. It was not that easy to find any cinemas in Beijing but luckily enough I saw the oldest cinema in China. Cinema DAGUANLOU you will find on the Dazhalan-street southwest of the Qianmen, just about 10 minutes walk from Mao's mausoleum. Daguanlou is still running after great restorations. They had "Robin Hood" and "Prince of Percia" on screen and in the fine cinema hall they had a fine display telling the story of film. Besides many other things they had this 70mm film reel - so here you are Thomas: The Greatest film format of all time lying just next to the Greatest comrade of all time.
