success at the Delphi Filmpalast (large advertising panel in stairway to
the cinema hall) with a 43-week run in the early 80s. Picture from the

 Lawrence
of Arabia (GBR 1962). Walter Jonigkeit had the idea to advertise cold
beer during the film´s intermission. That brought big sales. The German
premiere of the film happened on 15 March 1963 at the Düsseldorfer Savoy
cinema with the presence of film-producer Sam Spiegel. Delphi Filmpalast
premiere advertisement from 26 April 1963 and advertising for Lawrence
of Arabia from the author’s collection.„Lawrence von Arabien“ (Lawrence of Arabia, GBR 1962). Walter Jonigkeit hatte die Idee, in der Pause des Films kaltes Bier zu werben. Das brachte große Umsätze.  Mediterranean
Holiday (FRG 1962), had its world premiere on 19 December 1962 at the
Royal Palast in Munich, and is considered as the first German production
filmed in 65mm negative, using the then brand new MCS-70 Superpanorama
camera system designed by the Norwegian Jan Jacobsen. Advertisement from
10 Feburary 1963 from the author`s collection, the film`s premiere was
on 15 Feburary 1963. „Flying Clipper – Traumreise unter weißen Segeln“ (Mediterranean Holiday, BRD 1962) Welturaufführung am 19. Dezember 1962 im Münchner Royal Palast. Es war der erste deutsche 70mm-Kinofilm, gedreht mit der brandneuen MCS-70 Superpanorama Kamera, die damals von dem Norweger Jan Jacobsen entwickelt wurde. Anzeige vom 10. Hur (USA 1959). Berliners in “Roman fever”. The monumental film
premiered on 20 January 1961 where it subsequently ran for 50 weeks. The
German premiere took place on 14 October 1960 also at the Royal Palast

Filmpalst am Zoo it was shown for the first time on 02 June 1960.

 Solomon and Sheba (USA 1959) had its
festive world premiere on 27 October 1959 at the Astoria Theatre in London
filmed "in the sweeping wonder of Super Technirama 70". The Berliners could
enjoy the film for the first time on 25 December 1959 on the new Todd-AO
screen at the "Delphi". Advertisement from the author`s collection."Salomon und die Königin von Saba" (USA 1959) hatte am 27. Oktober 1959 festliche Weltpremiere im Londoner Astoria Filmtheater gedreht "in the sweeping wonder of Super Technirama 70". Am 25.
