Dimension 150 Visual Display for U.C.L.A. Driving Simulator By S. F. Hulbert and C. K. Wojcik The U.C.L.A. Driving Simulator has been developed as a research tool in the field of highway safety. This simulator is a projection room in which an automobile is driven on steel rollers of a standard chassis dynamometer while the driver views the road scene that is projected onto a curved screen 8.5 ft in radius. The driver also views the road scene behind him by looking through the rear-view mirror at a motion picture projected on a screen placed beyond the rear window of the vehicle. The field of vision of the front view is 150 deg. The projection technique used is a special type of motion picture presentation called Dimension 150

Richard Vetter Passed Away By Robert Weisgerber With all the trials and tribulations that Dick went through over the years in Hollywood he always believed firmly in the 70mm format and the value it brought to feature films, yesterday, today and tomorrow. Carl Williams Passed Away The Williams Family It was at UCLA that he and fellow faculty member, Dr. Richard Vetter, invented a wide-screen photographic and presentation system called Dimension-150. Introduced in 1966, the system was soon being installed in movie theaters around the world and for a time, the D-150 process was one of Cinerama's chief rivals

"The Bible...in the beginning" By Wolfram Hannemann The movie "The Bible" was achieved over a period of five years, three of which were needed for pre-production. It was the brainchild of Italian producer Dino De Laurentiis. He had the idea of making a movie covering the first 22 chapters of the book of books when doing some research while working on "Barabbas"
The Photography of "Patton" By George J. Mitchel The sharpness and resolution of the D-150 lenses is amply demonstrated in the prologue. There are screen-filling close-ups of Patton's pistols, his decorations, his West Point ring. The clarity of detail, despite the magnification, is amazing.
"Harmony: Nature and Man" Washington State Film for EXPO 70 in Dimension 150 "Harmony: Nature and Man" is one of the most comprehensive documentaries on a U.S. state ever produced, to be the major attraction of the Washington State Pavilion at the 1970 Osaka Worlds Fair in Japan. The film will be photographed and exhibited in the 70mm Dimension 150 process, the only current motion picture process of both a photographic and an exhibition system
