Cinerama's Russian Adventure: (all 65mm)

We did the tests in the middle of September 2011 at
Crest on the
65mms and this is what we found. After you read each section look at the
video sample link.
Negs were made (""Windjammer" style") but in 65mm not 35mm by Film Efx. of
Hollywood in 1965.
Also this is the negative not like the "Windjammer" was (from 35mm faded pink
print) so much more color can be recovered. The "Windjammer" style grain will
be present however due to it originating from a 6 perf print source material
so there is extra contrast built into this neg.
The areas we spot checked does have color mis matching across all three
panels in many scenes (to be expected!) but that was present when they made
this 65mm from a 6 perf print (using the Lynwood Dunn "process shot" system
or ""Windjammer" style" compositing process system") Some mis aligned panels
and fluttering images throughout- some we can fix others we can't. Some of
these "built in" panel alignments have missing information such as when
going by a rock or a pole and it disappears in the panel line then comes out
the other side. - this neg should be sonic cleaned.

With some sperate panel color correction/balancing -grain reduction, flicker
removal- we can fix this title up somewhat to make it more show able but it
won't look exactly like remaster of TIC does --- but should be a slight bit
better than our remaster of "Windjammer"
looks. Soundtrack will come from the Bradford's 70mm 6 track mag stripe
print.
Join lines will not be improved that much more due to miss alignment when it
was photographed in the 3 images in one frame process.
