JoAnne Sellar, Joaquin Phoenix and Paul Thomas AndersonWhat's nice about premieres is that sound and picture was checked, so the screening was perfect. It's a blow-up, well done, nice contrast, perfect 70mm projection stability and brightness. 1.85:1 ratio as expected. I asked the theatre staff. The film will definitely be release at "L'Arlequin" in 70mm on March 4th. |

"The Master" was also projected there, also "Baraka", "Vertigo" & "Spartacus" restored... in the recent years... It's now owned by a small independent group showing art films. It used to play Russian films during the communist era, it was named "Le cosmos" back then... It was rumoured that it was financed by Moscow at that time... (That was probably true.) |
