Palm Spring Cultural Center's Historic Camelot Theater Hosts Secret Movie
Club
Palm Springs, California. Friday, May 5-Sunday, May 7, 2023. The Palm
Springs Cultural Center's historic Camelot Theater hosts Los Angeles-based
Secret Movie Club's 2023 70MM Palm Springs Getaway Festival. Each movie will
be screened on rare, gorgeous 70MM prints with the best image and sound
available for the movie experience. Cocktails and concessions will be on tap
along with a Saturday night 11 pm-2am afterparty at the Ace Hotel, Palm
Springs.
This year, Secret Movie Club has hand selected Paul Thomas Anderson's 2012
mind bender
"The Master" (Friday, May 5, 2023 730pm), James Cameron's
breathtaking blockbuster romance-disaster movie "Titanic" (Saturday,
May 6, 2023 7pm), and Stanley Kubrick's all-time sci-fi masterpiece
"2OO1: A Space Odyssey" in Super Panavision 70 (Sunday, May 7,
2023 2pm) on rare 70mm prints. The weekend long festival is open to the
public with both Los Angeles movielovers caravanning to the desert and
valley locals for a movie lover's dream.
Short intros to each movie will be presented, cocktails will be served, and
an afterparty will be hosted by Secret Movie Club in the Amigo Room of Palm
Spring's Ace Hotel from 11 pm-2am on Saturday night.
Come savor the rare chance to see amazing movies on the 70mm film format in
a movie theater specifically built for the experience at affordable prices.

The Palm Springs Cultural Center has been the steward of the historic
Camelot Theater since 2007. The Cultural Center hosts classic film
screenings, festivals, live events and music. Secret Movie Club, a Los
Angeles based community of movie lovers and movie makers, has been building
cinema community since 2016. Secret Movie Club focuses on diverse
programming of the world's greatest movies, along with filmmaker Q&A's, open mic short nights of emerging new filmmakers, and moviemaking workshops.
