I saw "The Professionals" in 70mm at the Hollywood Cinerama in México City.

"Boot's Hill" (La colina de las botas) in Sevilla (Spain) surely in 70mm. I don't remember the name of the movie house

"Red Sun" I saw it at the cine Las Americas (México City). Also in 70mm.

Seeing 70mm Films in Mexico

"Once Upon the time in the west" Saw it five times at the Cine Olimpia in México city.

Surely in 70mm.

The only ones I'm not sure. are the "The Five Army" never saw that film, (the poster was send to me by a friend from Spain. And I saw "The Wild Bunch" in 35mm. The same friend in Madrid send to me several posters of the film promoted in 70mm.

This 70mm version was screened in the Easter Holidays (early April), in 1971, in Madrid. At the time, Madrid have 3 Cinerama theatres in the city. The Albéniz-Cinerama. The Real Cinema-Cinerama, and the Proyecciones-Cinerama.

I dont remember in witch of them I saw the film. Incidentally, in another theatre was screened the 70mm version of "The Robe". I attented to both Shows. A year later "Quo Vadis", in 70mm, was screened, also for Easter Holidays, at the Cinema Pedregal 70 theatre in México City.

All the best, Miguel

I discovered a rare poster of the German film "Die Nibelungen", perhaps it will interest you. In this case it is the English 70mm version of the film with the title "Whom the Gods wish to destroy" (part1 and part2 together - in Germany there were two parts of the film "Die Nibelungen", additional titled A: "Siegfried" in 1966 and B: "Kriemhilds Rache" in 1967) which was shown in the UK and in Mexico as far as I am informed.

I admire your work. A nice weekend...

Cheers
Gerhard Witte, Berlin
