 The following is a reference / historical listing of the 70-millimeter
presentation of “Godzilla” in North America. “Godzilla,” a TriStar release, was directed by Roland Emmerich (“Stargate,” “Independence Day”) and starred Matthew Broderick, Jean Reno, Maria Pitillo, Hank Azaria, Kevin Dunn, Michael Lerner and Harry Shearer. The 70mm print of “Godzilla” featured DTS audio and full-frame imagery blown up from Super-35. The print featured multiple Scandinavian-language subtitles. This 70mm print was originally struck for a special “one off” presentation September 18th, 1998 at the Spektrum in Oslo, Norway.
