“Paper Tiger” was among four confirmed first-run films released in 1975 with
70mm prints for selected engagements.
The Joseph E. Levine Presents, Inc. release — directed by Ken Annakin
(“Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines,” “Battle of the Bulge”)
and starring David Niven, Toshiro Mifune and Hardy Kruger — premiered
November 5th.
The 70mm prints of “Paper Tiger” featured six-track stereophonic sound and
full-frame imagery blown up from anamorphic 35mm.
